Do you think Reilly knows that one of Grady Sizemore's parents is white and the other is black? Probably not, I think Reilly judges people strictly on skin color.

Please for the love of god, shut this guy up. Why ESPN thinks they need to keep bringing journalists into the fold is a crime.

To many white guys comment

Not a good night to be an atheist comment

Typical pinko commie journalist comments that have no place in the GAME or HOME RUN DERBY.

I don’t hear people complaining that, although blacks make up 11% of our population, that there are to many in the NFL or NBA…….both the NFL and NBA are above or right at 70% participation. And people still cry because there are not enough blacks in baseball.

I played major college football and have a black partner in business, so this isn’t some redneck from Alabama writing in about this topic. If you want diversity in the home run derby, then “white guys” want diversity and higher %’s in football and basketball .

I’m didn’t go here on this subject – Rick Reilly did and people are sick of it.

– I’m the furthest thing from a racist……but if the John Thompsons of the world can go on the radio and say he is proud to be black and he looks out for the black athlete, then I feel the same about protecting the white athlete and am proud to be white. I was raised to be proud to be an American first and then to look out for the American athlete, but that no longer matters with the Rick Reilly’s of the world and his elitist comments….…….

I heard it but couldn't believe it. I didn't know who said it until I read this. Is Reilly on drugs? If he did his homework, he would know that Manny, A-Rod and Vlad all declined. And what Ravech said is true. The guy has to be an all-star or the PRIOR year champion. Reilly thought he would look like a better person for bringing this up, but he looked like a jerk. His one moment on TV and he says this? Talk about blowing it. At least they had the sense to muzzle him. Joe Morgan and Eric Young didn't say a thing.
BTW, I didn't know Longoria was white. Is he Italian?

ESPN has long been a bastion of giving a voice to anti-white sentiment in the sporting world. Degrading the white man has become nothing short of a passtime for ESPN, whether it is in the form of overhyping minority accomplishments and constantly harping on broken color barriers, or espousing the need for more minority coaches and ownership, while at the same time ignoring the fact that reverse discrimination has taken place in the NFL and NBA since the beginning of the 1980's. Combine this with the fact of the East Coast biased displayed by ESPN and the network is near completely unwatchable.

Funny! This is the single statement made that caught me and left me speechless. Rick, I hope you are eating crow. Justin Morneau is the real deal and should be applauded for his efforts. ESPN Should have given him a pat on the back instead of making him feel embarrassed for winning. Shame on ESPN.
